Ellen and Darren had previously seen the band at another wedding and were set on booking them for theirs. Working with Ellen was such a pleasure - one of the most enthusiastic brides before and during the big day. 'We had the pleasure of seeing 21st Century Riot perform a while ago, and as soon as we booked our wedding, we knew we had to have you! From the first point of contact, until the very last moment of our wedding reception, you were all so supportive, helpful and professional. Your sound and timing was perfect and the dance floor was packed all night, with all our friends and family absolutely loving the music. I can't tell you how many people complimented you all, the song choices, the timing, the depth of sound. We had the most amazing evening thanks to you all, and I would recommend you to anyone looking for a top class band for any event. We also booked your DJ to play in breaks and before and after the band's sets, and he was faultless, ending our night with people dancing until the speakers went silent. Kate & Peppy got married in April and when searching to hire a wedding band, we (21st Century Riot) were lucky enough to be recommended by their Wedding Planner, Emma (Something Blue).


It was brilliant to work with a couple who were so enthusiastic about the music and gave their time to communicating their thoughts and requests. It makes it so special when we can incorporate the Bride and Groom's personal touches into the music. We are also very, very lucky that Kate & Peppy shared their beautiful photo's, by the fantastic We Are The Clarkes, which tell the story of their wedding day far better than I could....


Here comes the bride...

Kate & Peppy's gorgeous venue, The Ham Yard Hotel, London, featured a stunning roof top terrace where the Ceremony and Drinks Reception were held. Live music from our Acoustic Duo ran throughout the afternoon including special requests from the Bride & Groom for their Ceremony.

First Dance and the evening fun gets well and truly underway...

Kate & Peppy chose John Legend's 'All Of Me' from our DJ for their first dance to officially kick off their evening reception. Plus this uniquely cool venue features a bowling alley for guests to enjoy, and a photo booth provided even more entertainment!


Keep on dancing...

The band take to the stage as the Bride & Groom once again lead the dancing. Plus our DJ keeps the party going with classic tunes but also featuring Indian music selected by Peppy which goes down brilliantly.

Final Words from Kate & Peppy...

21st Century Riot were the band for our wedding in London. We were looking for a band with a great sound. A band who could really sing, play and perform, would get the party going and the dance floor full. We found that in 21st Century Riot. 

The organisation before the day was professional and easy, on the day the band gave a great performance of lots of classic rock and indie songs that meant we were on the dance floor nearly all night and it was full the whole time. We also hired the 21st Century Riot acoustic duo for our wedding ceremony music and drinks reception which was one of our best decisions. Everyone complimented the music and sound they produced and it gave our drinks reception a great atmosphere.  We couldn’t recommend 21st Century Riot highly enough - if you're looking for a band for your wedding or an acoustic duo you won’t find better.

Ed & Shelley wanted live music to play quite a significant role in their big day and were looking to a hire a wedding band who could provide music during the meal as well as for the evening reception. 21st Century Riot played an early acoustic set to set the relaxed tone during the wedding breakfast followed by 2 full electric sets in the evening. To kick off the evening reception the guys also learnt the couple's first dance, You Are The Best Thing by Ray Lamontagne, which went down brilliantly - great track!! Thanks so much Ed & Shelley for your kind words below, so honored to have played a part in your special day.

Thank you so much for getting everything arranged so smoothly for our wedding knees-up last week. Having the band available to play both acoustic and electric sets was fantastic for breaking up the evening and we had so many compliments from guests about how great they were. The guys were so professional and easy to work with, setting up in good time and staying with us right until the end of the night – they certainly put in an impressive shift!

 

I should mention how special it was that the band learnt a track to play for our first dance and we appreciate that they really went the extra mile. Given that the dance floor was full for so much of the evening our other guests clearly enjoyed themselves too!

Looking for a rock / indie band Becs found 21st Century Riot and decided they would be perfect for her wedding. Music was obviously important to this couple and we worked together to come up with a set-list tailored to their requests. It clearly worked, the band had a great time playing for this fabulous crowd! Just got back yesterday and have ultimate wedding blues!

 

BUT we had the most amazing day and honeymoon - we wouldn’t have changed anything.

 

Jay and the band were absolutely brilliant - they really got the crowd going and everyone commented on how much they just didn’t want to leave the dance-floor. The playlist was a mixture of classics and more modern music to get everyone in the crowd moving. They were also brilliant to work with on the day and were like part of the wedding party from start to finish. Thank you so much for all the seamless organisation and making our wedding day the most special and unforgettable day we could have wished for.

 

They were so so perfect we couldn’t have wished for anyone better!
