Marieke got in touch, having seen the band perform at their friend's wedding earlier in the year, to see if they were available for their own wedding party. Happily they were and we went about planning the day's music. The couple opted for an acoustic duo as the venue wasn't able to have any amplified music at all, and also the first set was performed on their wedding bus! All the wedding guests were treated to a tour of London on Marieke & David's wedding bus and so our duo got everyone in the party mood and singing along whilst seeing the sights.

The remaining sets were performed at The Phene over dinner and then into the evening. A fabulous wedding with a the bus tour making it really unique, an absolute pleasure to be involved in. Most importantly we're so pleased the bride and groom were happy with the band - thank you Marieke & David for your comments below:

Hope you are well. Have been meaning to email you, we had our wedding and went on honeymoon and now back to normal :). 

 

Wanted to let you know that the guys were absolutely fabulous on our wedding day and to send a belated thank you! We had great fun on the bus tour, so glad they came on the bus as that was the perfect entertainment for the tour. And also during our dinner they played greatly and everyone loved them. As everything went so quickly I didn't get a proper chance to say thank you, so a belated email to do this. I hope they also enjoyed the day/evening.

 

Anyway, hope you have a great weekend ahead and best of luck with all future bookings. I will definitely recommend the guys to anyone who is in need.

Kate & Peppy got married in April and when searching to hire a wedding band, we (21st Century Riot) were lucky enough to be recommended by their Wedding Planner, Emma (Something Blue).


It was brilliant to work with a couple who were so enthusiastic about the music and gave their time to communicating their thoughts and requests. It makes it so special when we can incorporate the Bride and Groom's personal touches into the music. We are also very, very lucky that Kate & Peppy shared their beautiful photo's, by the fantastic We Are The Clarkes, which tell the story of their wedding day far better than I could....


Here comes the bride...

Kate & Peppy's gorgeous venue, The Ham Yard Hotel, London, featured a stunning roof top terrace where the Ceremony and Drinks Reception were held. Live music from our Acoustic Duo ran throughout the afternoon including special requests from the Bride & Groom for their Ceremony.

First Dance and the evening fun gets well and truly underway...

Kate & Peppy chose John Legend's 'All Of Me' from our DJ for their first dance to officially kick off their evening reception. Plus this uniquely cool venue features a bowling alley for guests to enjoy, and a photo booth provided even more entertainment!


Keep on dancing...

The band take to the stage as the Bride & Groom once again lead the dancing. Plus our DJ keeps the party going with classic tunes but also featuring Indian music selected by Peppy which goes down brilliantly.

It was a pleasure to put everything together beforehand, working with them and Emma to plan all the details and the band had a ball on the day performing to such a great crowd. Final Words from Kate & Peppy...

21st Century Riot were the band for our wedding in London. We were looking for a band with a great sound. A band who could really sing, play and perform, would get the party going and the dance floor full. We found that in 21st Century Riot. 

The organisation before the day was professional and easy, on the day the band gave a great performance of lots of classic rock and indie songs that meant we were on the dance floor nearly all night and it was full the whole time. We also hired the 21st Century Riot acoustic duo for our wedding ceremony music and drinks reception which was one of our best decisions. Everyone complimented the music and sound they produced and it gave our drinks reception a great atmosphere.  We couldn’t recommend 21st Century Riot highly enough - if you're looking for a band for your wedding or an acoustic duo you won’t find better.

Acoustic Trio during the drinks reception

Hey Helen,

Thank you for getting in touch. It really was a perfect day. From the acoustic trio to start things off, through the entire evening the music was fantastic.

We really want to thank you guys for being so flexible with the schedule for the evening as I know it was an uncommon format. Everyone we spoke to, of all ages, raved about the band. Rachel and the guys really tied the night together creating the perfect tone throughout and really understood the kind of music we wanted.

A last minute decision to add a little music at this event was solved byRiot Unplugged's arrival, their amazing voices and talented skills added the perfect atmosphere to this wonderful party. The birthday boy had a fear most wouldn't dance however one familiar song after another led to the floor being filled. Thank you so much for providing such wonderful entertainment for this special birthday and I have had nothing but praise following. I look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
